The Face Lifting, like any other plastic surgery, could have some risks. Something important to take in mind to avoid problems:
- Verify that your Plastic Surgeon is a member of Colombian Plastic Surgery Society
- Follow carefully all the recommendations given by your plastic surgeon.
- Make sure that the procedure is practiced in a hospital completely equipped, not in the doctor's office.
- Ask your Plastic Surgeon to show photographies of the result of previous surgeries done by him/her.

What kind of technology is required for the Face Lifting?
The modern technology that we use today makes possible to reduce even more the length of the incisions needed for the surgery. In addition, with the Endoscopic Surgery, the Plastic Surgeons can introduce a little camera through the incision in order to perform certain parts of the procedure. It helps to do the re-position of the anatomic structures even easier and the trauma after the surgery will be lower.

What kind of Lab Exams are required before the Surgery?
Before the surgery is performed, it is completely necessary the following lab exams:
- Cuadro Hemático.
- Times of Coagulation.
- Sugar Levels .
- Albumin Levels (a protein)
- Evaluation of Thyroid Gland funcionality.
- Electrocardiogram.
- Thorax Radiography (specially in women older than 45 years old).

How long can take this Surgery?
The Face Lifting could take from three to six hours, according to each specific case, for example, if the procedure is going to be done in the upper or in the lower section of the face, or both of them.
